LIVING WAGES –
IMPROVING
DAY TO DAY
LIFE IN INDIA

The majority of the workers in the Indian garment industry are paid the applicable minimum wage, set by the Indian government. But with minimum wages the workers can´t pay rent, food, social health care or education for their children. So ATC took the decision that the workers in our factory, mostly women from an unprivileged background gets payed extra in order to compensate the difference between minimum wage and living wage.
